Although we will do our utmost to ensure that everyone who comes to enter on the day can get a run we cannot guarantee that this will be on their 1st choice course if demand is heavier that we anticipate. All those entering on the day will be given a registration form on arrival to complete and take to Registration. S I electronic punching for all courses. Dibber hire (50p) at Registration. Registration will be open from 09.30 to 12.00. Starts from 10.00 to 12.30. Anyone arriving alone who wishes to be checked back in please leave your car keys at Enquiries.

4. Maps and Terrain
The map is 1:10,000 surveyed in 2006 with minor updates in autumn 2008. Maps will be printed on waterproof paper but not bagged. Size will be A3 for the longer courses (courses 01 to 05) and A4 for all other courses. The area consists of a mix of open heathland - mainly heather – open sandy areas (including the ‘tank wallows’ and forest with some good runnable areas; there are a number of steep ridges with intricate contour detail and many line features. The area is in constant military use so ‘priorities’ of some mapped paths and tracks may have changed. Mountain bikes may have created unmapped paths and there are also unmapped trenches and minor gullies. Due to recent rain there are many large puddles and the wet sand in the ‘tank wallows’ will be deep and soft.
5. Starts and Start Procedure
The Start is close to Registration. Start times have only been allocated in early (10.00 to 10.30), middle (10.30 to 11.45) and late (11.45 to 12.30) blocks so there may be a few minutes queueing at the Start, particularly for the more popular courses, which are courses 03, 04, 05 and 06. There will be a punching start. As both the Start and the Finish are close to Registration and the Car Park there will be no Clothing Transfer or Clothing Dump provided.
