Future SN events - update 19 Oct
Officials and helpers needed
With two successful Saturday Series events at Southwood and Horsell behind us, we are now putting together a more regular future events programme, and will need to find officials (organisers, planners) and teams of helpers to run them. Read more below for further detail.
Please also note that our events are moving to pre-entry only via Racesignup in order to minimise queues and close personal contacts (and helper effort) on the day. There will be discount codes for SN members and helpers (specific to each event).
New names on SN Club Handicap trophies
Congratulations to Simon Dunkley who just pipped Ross Maclagan in a close finish at Bramshott on Sunday. Results are to be found via SLOW website here. Results by finish position have been circulated to all who ran - the first 30 finishers crossed the line within a 10 minute window, and the sun finally emerged just in time for the winner's presentation!
More British Champions in SN
Congratulations to Sarah Rollins (W45), Tommy Rollins (M14) and Tim Beale (M35) who are the 2021 British Long Distance champions after the event at Braunton Burrows on Sat 2nd October. Full results details here .
Sarah and Tommy have achieved an amazing 'treble double' in 2021 after their earlier successes at middle and sprint distances.
SN success at British Sprints

SN Juniors finish 4th at YBT Final
Our junior team of over 20 runners finished 4th in the delayed 2020 final of the Yvette Baker Trophy at Westonbirt Arboretum on 4th July. Thank you to Mel and others for marshalling the team, and to the juniors themselves for their great team spirit and clear enjoyment of the occasion.
Member Survey
Training and social activities
Thank you to the more than 60 members who responded - the survey is now closed. The Club paid the required fee to ensure that we can see ALL responses to the survey (contrary to what was implied in SNaggers). The Committee will review the full range of responses and decide whether to make any changes to our training activity schedule. For the time being weekly summer training remains on Wednesday evenings unless the web site details specifically state otherwise.
