Registration & Start Times

SN’s traditional handicap race will be held at Wellesley Woods, a small area on the east edge of Long Valley North, on 11 June.

First handicap start at 18:00 adjacent to the car park.

Entries:

Closed event for SN members only.

Entry via web form (preferred) here or mail dave at theryderclan.co.uk.

Entries close Wed 4th June to give time for handicaps to be allocated. We will print a few spare maps for non-competitive entries on the day,

Competitors are free to compete on MLS Long Valley North on 11th June as the areas used do not overlap.

Terrain

Runnable woodland with an extensive network of small paths and many point features. Some areas of bramble are easily avoided and provide route choice. Should provide a really enjoyable area to race around with both fast running through the runnable woodland and some detailed route choices. There is a stream running north/south through the area that has steep trench banks over some of its length. The entrenched sections are shown with a contour/form line along each bank. A fit M21 will be able to jump entrenched sections no problem but it may present an uncrossable barrier to older/less fit competitors. There is one point where the banks are lower that can be passed by all. This is shown by a gap in the contours.
