Membership renewal for 2023

Last edited: Mon 28 Nov 2022

British Orienteering (BO) start to process renewals for existing members from 1 November onwards. Membership cards are usually distributed by email during December - check your inbox and spam folder. Please check your details carefully. (Read more below)

If you joined as a new member on or after 1 September 2022 your membership will be valid up to the end of 2023.

If you have already set up a direct debit with BO your renewal will be automatic and payment will be taken during December.

The club relies on the information you provide to BO for our own membership records and communications, and it is also used by some online entry systems. In particular please check:

  • your regional affiliation. Many people were incorrectly switched from SEOA to SCOA in 2021 due to an incorrect default setting in the BO system. Some have since reverted to SEOA, but others may wish to use this opportunity to switch back.
  • your contact details. The club relies upon postal address, email and phone contact information from the BO database.
  • your SI/SIAC and EMIT numbers. If you have recently acquired a new SI card or EMIT brikke please update your membership record. This information is used by some online entry systems and the SN Team Captain.

We look forward to you re-joining for another year. If you are a local member (i.e. you join BO through a club other than SN) you will be contacted directly by the Membership Sec regarding renewal.

The 2023 SN League starts early at our Horsell Common event on 10th December 2022. Entries for major events such as JK, British Championships and Scottish 5-Days will open soon and major events usually check via the online entry systems that your membership is current.
