Type of event: Training, Social

Final details:

Orienteering first starts are from 1800hrs. Last start 1830hrs - course closes 1850hrs - this event is compulsory - do not be late as your score won't count if you have not taken part in the orienteering.

After the orienteering has been completed, there will be four other events to complete:

  • Throwing event one: a skill based event in the woods, that the competitors will need to complete and notify the helpers of their score.
  • Throwing event two: a skill based throwing event will also need to be completed close to the long jump pits on the sports field. Please notify the helpers of your score.
  • The fourth event is a running style event involving all competitors (mass start) and will take place on the sports field.
  • The final event (fifth) will be a team relay event on the sports field.
  • The BBQ, provided by Barbecue Chefs, and hopefully prize giving will then take place afterwards at circa 2000-2015hrs.

Trophies for the best cumulative score for best male, best female, best junior boy and girl.

Please remember to bring your O Kit, trainers (not all events may be suitable for spikes / O shoes), drink/refreshments for the events/BBQ, and a sense of humour.

Toilets will be available.

Please note that the school area (buildings) are OOB due to building work - we will only be using the car park, the sports field and the woods.
